We proudly supported South East London ICS, Modality and The Lewisham Care Partnership in raising public awareness of the risks of high blood pressure on 17th May.

In the UK, around 30% of adults are living with hypertension and 4.2 million may be undiagnosed. Often symptomless, effectively combating ‘the silent killer’ begins with early identification and diagnosis.

One way to facilitate a proactive approach is by improving public knowledge of the benefits of optimal blood pressure control. And to that end, Suvera joined primary care partners across Lewisham in raising awareness on World Hypertension Day.

Across three sites, Suvera delivered pop-up stations offering blood pressure checks to the public. There, our care teams worked alongside partners to take readings and case find undiagnosed hypertension.

Suvera CEO and Co-founder Ivan Beckley, said: “We know the sooner we identify uncontrolled high blood pressure, the better the outcomes often are. That’s why we’re honoured to support South East London ICS, Modality and The Lewisham Care Partnership in their efforts to enable earlier diagnosis. We look forward to our continued collaboration to improve population health together.”

A big thank you to our partners for inviting us to support them with this initiative!
